great Linda, did you find your polling station busy?
Interesting, I noticed the same thing at my polling station in Van East. I was surprised at how few people were there.
Advance polling info: Elections Canada's preliminary figures, which means not all polls may have reported as of Wednesday afternoon, show that more than two million electors cast an advance vote. In the 2008 federal election, slightly more than 1.5 million people voted in the advance polls.
... may account for slightly lower turnout on election day.

Kits Poll not busy this afternoon
Voted at Poll 72 - St. Augustine's School 8th & Arbutus in Kits - walked straight in, voted, straight out. No wait!

We are receiving reports of a huge line at the Beatty Street Drill Hall in the Vancouver Centre riding.
Also, on twitter some reporting UBC students who live in residence are being turned away from voting because they don't affidavit from landlord.
